Licenced Automotive Technician

Reliable Motors has built a brand new state of the art facility and are hiring a Licensed Automotive Technician

* High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
* Automotive service technician Journeyman Certificate
* Motor Vehicle Inspector Certificate
* Valid Drivers License
* Experience with Fuel and emission systems, Ignition and electrical
systems, Brake systems, AC, cooling and heating systems

* Perform preventative maintenance checks and diagnostic work on vehicles and equipment.
* Perform repairs and overhauls on vehicle components and equipment.
* Complete road motor vehicle and automotive systems tests.
* Estimate the resources and materials it will take to get the job done in a smart, cost-effective way.
* Utilize and adhere to shop and branch maintenance procedures and information systems.
* Utilize repair manuals, technical bulletins, operating and procedural manuals, schematics, MSDS sheets, and safety handbooks.
* Record all work done manually or electronically.
* Participate in safety and information meetings, environmental meetings,and training programs.
* Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.

Technician and an Apprentice Technician

Reliable Motors is now actively searching for a Technician and an Apprentice Technician to join our Team. 

Job Description

  • Dedicated to quality diagnostics and maintenance repair. Daily maintenance will include lubrications, oil and filter changes, tire rotations, accessory installations and scheduled maintenance. Reports all mechanical or safety related deficiencies not noted on the repair order. Accurately utilizes MPI for 100% of repair orders.
  • Performs road tests to confirm repair or to verify concern.
  • Accurately records the cause and correction in Reynolds on customer repair orders and completes the Technician portion on MPI and related inspection forms.
  • Provides Service Advisors with accurate parts and labour estimates utilizing MPI.
  • Maintains and follows manufacturer warranty policies and procedures.


  • Either licensed,  currently enrolled and actively pursuing an Automotive Journeyman Apprenticeship.  Not trained or enrolled in a program? We will train! 
  • Currently working somewhere else but would like to discuss the possibility of working in our Brand New facility. Bays are heated and air conditioned. New hoists and benches. State of the art exhaust and air exchanger systems. All oil, air water and exhaust hoses are suspended from the ceiling. No more tripping or coiling hoses. We can talk in strict confidence. 
  • We have amongst the highest wages for technicians.  We pay hourly with an incentive plan. Health Plan Benefits. 
  • Requires clear written and oral communication and a willingness to attend training seminars and courses to upgrade and develop
  • Requires a valid driver's license with a clean drivers abstract
  • Ability to carefully and safely drive both standard and automatic vehicles
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items and equipment such as tires, buffers and polishers
  • Focus on customer service

Tire Technician

Tire Technician - working as part of the Vehicle Service's Team you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

  • Tire Services: mounting/installation, balance & rotation, flat repair
  • Customer Service: communicating directly to customers or Service personnel
  • Oil & Filter Services
  • Shop Related: general housekeeping, Health & Safety compliance, shop supply replenishment, assisting in other areas as needed

Skills/Qualifications :

  • Previous experience/knowledge in the automotive trade preferred, willing to train the right candidate
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities on a daily basis
  • Team player
  • Willingness to learn
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs+
  • Current, valid drivers license
